Homeless Shelter Project

Angels in the Night sees hundreds of volunteers distributing new clothing and other winter supplies to homeless shelters in centers across Canada each December. We began helping those without a home in 2002 and together with our partners have raised over $2.1 million for homeless shelters in communities across Canada.

Hi, you do amazing work! Thank you so very much. I just wanted to point out that Rob Stanfield of Ottawa is not recognized anywhere that I can see on your site. He has been amazing in the way he organized the support he provided to the Ottawa shelters. I experienced him at the Aboriginal shelter in Ottawa and now at Nelson House, both are for women and children who are fleeing violence, he is very kind and respectful of the organization's need for anonymity. I can't say enough about how wonderful he was to us.

Sincerely, Mary Montgomery Executive Director, Nelson House

Funding for emergency youth shelters is a constant challenge. Few people realize how much a donation such as blankets, pillows, sheets, towels and toiletries helps us. Your support helps these young people know that individuals and communities out there really do want to support them in finding solutions to their homelessness, especially during the holiday season."

- Todd Minerson, Touchstone Youth Centre, Toronto

Your continued support of our organization has gone a long way toward restoring the comfort and dignity of our residents and those less fortunate in the homeless community."

- Blanch White, Native Men’s Residence, Toronto

Your support of our Women’s and Children’s shelters is of great value to us as we work diligently to provide the services needed in order for individuals to lead full and independent lives. We could not continue with this work without the kindness and generosity of people like the Angels in the Night. Thank you again for your caring and thoughtfulness."

- Nancy Panchuk, St. James Community Service Society, Vancouver

Please express to all those who were part of this great effort how much it is appreciated. We were overwhelmed by the number of volunteers who came to the Centre on the night of the delivery. It was tremendous!"
